A PARTY WORTH REMEMBERING
Well, the Anniversary Celebration is over – but what a party it was! The shop was packed from start to finish. Even before start, to be exact. I had to time crossing the parking lot so as to avoid the steady stream of incoming cars before we even opened.
The mood inside the shop was electric all day. All of the events were filled with players who were having a blast. A couple of the games even spilled over their allotted times as the folks playing them were reluctant to wrap-up such fun events.
Carl and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Our intent was simply to have a birthday party to celebrate the shop making it five years, but the mini-convention that actually happened was a wonderful surprise. We could never have expected the tremendous response the day would get from the gaming community – and for that we are truly grateful.
It has certainly been a wild ride over the last five-years; the day reminded us, though, of the fun and excitement that can be had by all when you bring such creative and fun-loving people together to play games. That certainly makes it all worth the effort.
